Yesterday was the first scheduled test but it was high winds and rain ALL day at Jerez, so we sat around drinking tea and talking about bikes etc. In the afternoon the rain had stopped but the track didn’t dry. We went out anyway just to get a few laps for the photographer and to be sure the bike is ready for today. It looks like it will be better weather.
My first impressions of the team is that it feels like a very tight knit family atmosphere and everyone is very motivated. Usually at the first test it takes a while to get going again after such a long off season but with a 2 day test, race weekend and 2 races at Phillip Island WorldSBK last week on a BSB spec Yamaha, it was great preparation for for the start of the season.
