Thruxton is one of my favourite tracks as its fast and flowing, and in the past its been a good track for me as I had my first win here in 2010 and also did the double last year, so I was definitely looking forward to this round.

Bike set up is particular for this track with its unique layout and abrasive surface. Defiantly unlike any other British round but also not comparable with any other circuit i’ve race at around the world.

Turning the emphasis off me and onto the crew, they worked to find a set up to achieve not only fast lap times but most importantly staying consistent over the race distance. Keeping the tyre  in good condition to the end is the key to winning here.

Coming away with the double win, pole position, a new lap record and now leading the championship, was the perfect weekend for us. I want to thank my crew for their clever work and the Milwaukee Yamaha team sponsors for their continued support.
