Finishing on the podium, in 2nd, at the Isle of Man TT and in the Senior, feels like a win!

After my first TT podium in the twin category in 2023, I actually felt more proud of 5th in the senior on my Superstock bike last year. Coming back again in 2024, with the same FHO team, my target was to improve in the big bike categories. My chain broke on the first lap on the Superbike race so I was super disappointed as not only did I loose 6 laps of valuable track time, I felt the Superbike races would be my strongest chance of improving my results. The BMW M1000 is the bike I ride week in, week out in BSB so I felt more comfortable on it straight away and was really looking forward to those races.

It had been a difficult TT with weather interruptions, being hit in the face by a bird, breaking a chain and some issues in a couple of pit stops to name a few. So to get on the podium in the biggest race of the event is unreal. Taking 2nd place, a new PB of 134MPH average lap and a speed trap record of 206.9 MPH feels like a win.

A huge thanks to Faye, my Crew: Brains, Andy and Mark for all their hard work as well as Cliffy, Daz and all at FHO. It’s been a challenging TT for everyone so to reward the team with a result is Mega. Im gutted Pete crashed out of the lead (as I would have been happy with a 3rd) and to have both FHO bikes on the podium would have been the dream

I’d also like to thank Alistair Russell & his team for giving me a great supersport bike and Kev Stevenson & his crew for the YFT logistics twin. It’s a huge effort for these guys and i’m grateful for all your work.
