I’m pleased to let you all know that I have re-signed with Norton for 2018. I’m really looking forward to another year with them because it will be my second consecutive year on the same bike, following the 2 year absence. I’m excited to go back to the Isle of Man and race again and I hope to be able to improve my best lap time and race positions.
I really enjoyed working with the Norton bike, brand and whole team last year so I’m looking forward to being part of that again. Last year there were alot of changes to the bike in the lead up to the TT, whereas this year it should be much easier for me and the team. The changes made this year will be more fine tuning and adapting some small updates of the bike, rather than the bigger changes that I was making last year to accustom myself to a brand new motorbike.
That makes it more exciting to think about this years races. It should allow us to be in a better position and allow me to focus on the results that I can achieve. Also this year my BSB Crew Chief Stewart Winton will be working with Norton and myself in the build up to the event and during the event, so that should add another element of improving the chances of success.
I’m pleased to finally be able to announce my position for 2018, sorry its taken so long but it was out of my hands. However I am excited to announce I will be joining the McAMS Yamaha Team in British Superbikes this season. The first test is scheduled for the end of February so i’m looking forward to getting started and seeing you all at the first round.Read More
The first two races this weekend we had a couple of issues, not something really noticeable but enough to break my concentration and race run. The bike worked perfectly in the last race, I could ride it confidently to a win and to be sat here to be second in the championship is a wonderful feeling, even though we just missed out on taking the 2017 British Superbike Championship by 3 points.

It wasn’t a win today but it almost feels like it. Every point to me is extremely valuable. I’m of the opinion the team and I are going s good job but 5-2 leaves me somewhat unsatisfied. Heading to the final in 2nd position, 3 races to go ‘Must try harder’ to quote Kiyo.
