This weekends triple header at Oulton Park was a bit of a roller coaster. We had an engine failure in qualifying which meant I was unable to do a lap time. I started race 1 from the back of the grid and finished 4th.
I did the second fastest lap in race 1, so for race 2 I was started on the front row. I got a good start and lead from start to finish, taking the win by 8.5 seconds.
For race 3 I started on pole. Making a good start and setting a new lap record was creating a lead but that was lost when the safety car came out. When the race was back running again there were 7 laps to go, the temperature had dropped a lot and the tyre was suffering cold tear and I couldn’t keep the up the defence. I got passed and even with my best attempt at a last turn pass I had to accept second by 0.304 seconds.
